About Us

Our Personal Self-Defense Training Program is tailored and adapted to meet the needs of the individual. Our training programs allow for greatly improved personal safety and protection through proven strategies and concepts. Our instructors have decades of experience developing and implementing relevant curricula for a wide variety of people and groups. Whether you’re looking for basic self-defense concepts and techniques focusing on situational awareness, basic principles, and practical applications or martial arts systems and programs, we have an appropriate program for you.

Duane Sheely

Sensei Duane Sheely began training in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu in 1983 at the Bushido Jutsu Kan under Sensei Dennis Estes in Lehi, Utah. He holds the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, recognized by the Shin Gan Budo Kai, and Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) recognized by the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation.

Sensei Sheely is a Gow Lin ("Black Belt" Instructor) in Wing Chun Kung Fu and holds the rank of Blue Belt in Taekwondo. He also currently studies Kali-Silat and Ba Gua Zhang Kung Fu.

Sensei Sheely, a retired Major in the US Army, has trained Soldiers in self-defense tactics in Iraq, Afghanistan, and stateside.
